SOUTHERN ROCK PATRIMONY
CLINTON RIVER BAND : Travelin' on 1984

The LP mini-album of six tracks from the CLINTON RIVER BAND, an obscure quintet from Michigan, which hits the ears well, has the particularity of being very well produced. In addition, it is easily found at a reasonable price, which is often not the case for this type of self-production. Featured by their singer-guitarist Tim Boshaw, composer of the entire album, side A begins “laid-back” with the ballad “Sin Me Home”. Then "Southern Breeze" and the album track "Travelin' On" will delight the ears of those who love the "Southern Country Rock" of groups like the Outlaws and the Henry Paul Band. Guitarist Tim Boshaw and guest Bob Monteleone compete in dexterity just like on Side B on tracks like "Nightwind" and "Dreamer" where we find the influence of Poco and the Eagles, as well as the Marshall Tucker Band. “Down by River” with flexible, breathtaking slide guitar parts ensures the conclusion of this short LP. The Clinton River Band also released a CD in 1997 containing ten “Country Rock” tracks close to the Eagles, Poco, Firefall, New Riders Of The Purple Sage, with beautiful vocal harmonies. Tim Boshaw distinguished himself in 2023 with the release of a CD album "The Song Writer Demo Project", currently followed by a single with his guitarist friend Bob Monteleone, with the splendid title "Jack Kerouac" celebrating the writer of the “beat generation”.
